Any Season is the Right Reason on the
Mendocino Coast

Spring
Spring on the Mendocino Coast is spectacular. Sunny skies greet migrating whales and birds; the hills, seaside cliffs and roadsides are covered with wildflowers and the Rhododendrons are spectacular. It's time for rejuvenation - yours and ours. Inquire about our spring packages and come walk the beaches, trails and garden paths, enjoy the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden, take a whale-watching cruise or fly a kite on the Headlands. It's a time to take a deep breath and bask in the sun at Auberge Mendocino.

Summer
Summer is a time of play. Water sports abound - kayaking, canoeing, beaching and fishing trips. The Mendocino Music Festival is an 11-day extravaganza in mid-July and arts and crafts fairs are front and center. Not to be missed is the old-time 4th of July parade and celebration in Mendocino Village. For the more active -horseback riding and lama treks through the redwood forest are just the thing; if you want a lazy summer day a picnic at the Gardens or a circle tour through the lush Mendocino wine country will delight you. It's also family reunion time so be sure to ask about our vacation rentals and our family reunion package.

Fall
Fall brings Indian summer and lots of sunshine, a frisky ocean and a time to savor the history of the area, our local award winning wines and our tribute to the wild mushroom at November's Wine and Mushroom Days. Enjoy uncrowned art galleries, stores and trails. Splurge on a chauffeured Mendocino tour of the Harvest, explore the Point Arena and Point Carrillo lighthouses, and visit local nurseries for your fall plantings. Be sure to check out our seasonal specials. Halloween is a gas!

Winter
A Mendo secret: This is your time! If you are a nature lover the winter ocean and the occasional storm are not to be missed. It's also a time to treat you. Snuggle next to a roaring fire with a good book, enjoy a long leisurely spa treatment, and attend a production at the renowned Mendocino Theater Company or one of our year-round outstanding musical offerings such as Opera Fresca's Cabaret during or our January Crab and Wine Days. Whatever your needs and interests the staff at Auberge Mendocino will see that you experience the best that the Mendocino Coast has to offer.
